Lauren has been riding and competing for 20 years. She began in
pony club and has competed throughout the US at recognized events.
Lauren has spent time riding with and working for David and Karen O’Conner, Jim Graham, Kyle Carter and many
other Olympic level riders. Lauren has also ridden young horses for P. Wynn Norman (breeder of the legendary event pony, Theodore
O’Conner). She has been training young horses since she was 15 and has worked for many dressage, hunter jumper and eventing
barns. In 2001 she was 2nd in the nation at junior preliminary, won an international three day, and was a member
of the Area V team at the North American Young Riders Championships. She has been teaching for 7 years and has helped several
riders up to the prelim level and many pony clubbers achieve ratings up to the A level.
Saturday is Stadium Day at Black Dog Farm (Plant City). Lauren will meet all horse and rider combinations who she has not previously schooled
and we’ll get to tune up on stadium before going out on course. Jumping
lessons will be individual, private lessons approximately 1 hour in length. (Cost $45) If two riders are at the same level
and want to do a group lesson the cost is ($35). Stalls available for the day
for $15, you clean.
Sunday is Cross Country Schooling Day at Fannin Hill Farm (Brooksville).
Lauren will work with riders in groups of 3-4 on the cross country course. We
anticipate we’ll need two to three groups, with each group riding 1 ½-2hrs hours.
(Cost $55)
Fannin
Hill charges a $35 fee per horse for Cross Country schooling. Anyone hauling
to Fannin Hill with room in their trailer; please contact Beth Davidson (pcwertb@yahoo.com) so we can try to accommodate horse/rider combinations who need a slot on a trailer.
Riders without trailers are expected to cover fuel costs for their hauler.
