Ella is a 2005 Anglo Trakehner mare that was injured in the pasture as a late yearling. Prior to her injury,
Ella won DSHB classes with scores as high as 77.6% and finished 2006 as the Zone 4 Hunter Breeding Fifth Placed Yearling!
Ella is powerful, with an excellent shoulder and hind end. She is a large bodied mare with a lovely head and is very
intelligent and sensible. Amateur friendly and puts amateur friendly babies on the ground.
Ella is just shy of 17 hands and registered with the ATA. Ella is out of the TB mare Pesty Side
(Lexy) and by Feuertanzer (both deceased). ELLA foaled a filly April 30th, another buckskin! Ella is due in April 2016
with her 5th Top Gun foal! This foal will be a full sibling to Black Dog's Top of the Morning, Black Dog's Gold Luck,
Black Dog's Top Dun and Black Dog's Topelina (Mia, Connor, Dylan and April). These full siblings have been exceptional
and we expect this foal to follow in their footsteps.
RUNNING EAGLE
This lovely Thoroughbred mare is a 2006 model and she came to BDF on a lease from Megan Paget-Brown in Virginia!
"Amelia" raced successfully with 43 starts and was a winner and retired sound. She is bred very similar to our foundation
mare, "Lexy" with the Turn To bloodlines so well known for producing great event horses. Amelia is good natured and
a fantastic mover and jumper, so we are excited to confirm her pregnancy in 2015 to Topgun for a 2016 halfbred Connemara foal.
This will be her first foal, due June 24, 2016.

FARRAH:
New Forest Pony Mare: Farrah is a liver chestnut who is out of Hopenhof's Sylvia and by Forrest Flame (NFP
stallion competed to Intermediare in Dressage). She was bred by Trevelyan Farm in Pennsylvania.
At her inspection as a weanling, she earned the highest scores in the NATION for ISR! Her scores were 8.6, 8.7
and 8.5. Farrah stands at 14.2 and has competed to the Intermediate Level in Eventing. She has won at preliminary
level and competed at Plantation CIC** (18/83) and Fair Hill CCI** (41/110) in 2015 with Sinead Halpin (US RIDER ON THE 2014
WEG TEAM!). BDF hopes to be able to offer embryo transfer foals by Farrah in the future.

Meet our newest edition, Bantry Bay's Tara! Tara is a 14.2 hand connemara pony that was recently shipped down for
Brylie. Tara seems pretty happy to be in Florida and loved on by a small girl :)
Tara is a 1998 almost black pony who is by Bantry Bay's Ace and out of Kerrymor Undun. Tara foaled a filly in 2009
by an Oldenburg stallion. We may breed Tara in the future but her most important job is being a nice pony for Brylie
to love on.

LUCY:
Lucy was bred by Mary Yeager in Ohio and purchased from Fiona Rhodes (Crosswinds Connemaras) out of Carp, Ontario, Canada.
Lucy was inspected and approved by ACPS while in Canada. Lucy is by Tre Awain Cavan O'Conor and out of Heaven's
Ridge Treasa. Lucy has 4 purebred foals to her credit. Lucy is confirmed in foal to the TB stallion, Artrageous,
for a 2015 foal!
Lucy's full brother, Loughin's O'Leary, was started by Beth Davidson and later sold to a child for competing in hunters.
While at BDF, Keegan won 5th and 6th place ribbons at the Zone 4 Children's Hunter OF in 2004. Lucy has his jumping
style!
Lucy has just started an eventing career (January 2012), finishing 7th of 14 in Open Beginner Novice on her dressage
score. Lucy qualified for the the AEC's that same year!
Lucy started showing in leadline with our daughter, Anneke, where they won the Grand Championship in leadline in 2008
(PCHA). Lucy is very lovely over fences, jumping 3'3 with Beth on board. Lucy has scores in the low 70's at Training
level dressage from the 2010 Connemara Region Show. Currently, 2013 has Anneke and Lucy contesting Tadpole 3-phase combined
tests, where they recently finished 4th at the Florida Horse Park.
SWIFT OCOEE RIVER

OCOEE:
Ocoee is by Big Bear's Special Order and out of Molly Brown (*Bobby Brown x Crockaum Creme de Cacao). She is
a 1995 dun connemara mare we purchased from Kim Lander of Poppyfield Farm. Ocoee was inspected and she is an approved
ACPS mare. She was bred in 2006 to Claymore Connemara Stallion Seven Hill's Grey Ghost (Mosby) and foaled a lovely
colt (Toby) on January 27th, 2007. Ocoee is currently being ridden over fences and out on the trails and is a natural
field hunter.
Ocoee hunted with South Creek Foxhounds for 2008/2009 First and Second Flights. She is hunting again with
Linda Williams for 2009-10. She has led 2nd Flight and is always with the master at the end of a run!
PESTY SIDE

LEXY:
Our first broodmare, Lexy, is a 1986 TB mare (Reg. # 8601242) who successfully showed in the hunter arena after
racing for 1 year (3 starts as a 3 year old). Lexy's registered name is PESTY SIDE, she is by Turnverein
(Royal Charger and Turn To bloodlines) out of Bold's Valentine. Lexy is a substantial mare, 15'2 hands with lovely
movement, a nice topline and a great shoulder.
Lexy has had 3 lovely foals for Black Dog Farm. In 2004 she produced Black Dog's Smokin' Kate (now Fiona)
by the Connemara stallion, *Gun Smoke. In 2005 Lexy foaled Black Dog's Fiorella, an Anglo Trakehner by the Trakehner
stallion, Feuertanzer. In 2006 she foaled Black Dog's Flute, a full sister to Fiorella. Information on her
incredible babies can be found on the young stock page. In early 2014, Lexy began having age related health issues and
at the grand age of 28, we made the decision to humanely euthanize this lovely old mare.
